1982 Porsche 911SC Targa
In 1978, Porsche introduced the new version of the 911, called the 911SC. Porsche reintroduced the SC designation for the first time since the 356SC. According to modern-day Porsche literature the "SC" stands for "Super Carrera". Known as the 'G-model', the new generation 911 was built from 1973 to 1989 – a longer period than any other. A particular feature was the striking bellows-style bumpers – an innovation created in order to comply with the latest US crash test requirements. Impact-bumper 911s have been extremely hot commodities, when first introduced they featured a 3.0-litre aluminum engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a 5-speed 915 transmission. Originally power output was 180hp, and then in 1981 it was increased to 204hp.
Our example is presented in Tobacco Metallic over a black leather interior. This car benefits from a new set of tires and extensive recent service with records avaiable. Come and see this beautiful air cooled classic in our showroom in downtown Ft Lauderdale.
