Extraordinary Low Mileage Series I E-type with Factory Hardtop

*Meticulous nut & bolt restoration
*Desirable matching-numbers, covered headlight example
*Just 2 owners from new
*Accompanied by desirable Hard Top and extensive documentation

This wonderful Jaguar was purchased new by Joseph Frantin of New Jersey. The purchase celebrated his graduation from law school. Frantin's job required a considerable amount of traveling and this Jaguar became his grand tourer for regular trips to Florida. An unfortunate injury resulted in his inability to operate a clutch. The car was then mothballed within his mother's garage for several years.

The second owner purchased the car in 1985 with roughly 40,000 miles on the clock. The Jaguar was accompanied by its original hard top, tools and documentation. He enjoyed the E-Type for another 12,000 or so miles before starting a no expenses spared restoration with the intention of making it a keeper for his growing collection.

Factory original spot welds under the trunk, divot under the tail lights, and seams under the trailing edge of the doors highlight the extraordinary restoration of this E-type. The spare tire well area, cockpit floor and underside are factory original as well. The original chrome and bright work was restored rather than replaced with reproductions. The original engine was rebuilt by Stuart Plant of Devon, England. Stainless steel exhaust pipes and an all new electric harness were also fitted. The Jaguar was trimmed by Muncie Imports, manufacturer of exact Jaguar upholstery.

Changing priorities brought the car to market where one of our clients was fortunate to have acquired it. His fortune continues as his new Ferrari in in and the Jaguar is reluctantly passing on.

The car is in the same exceptional condition that it was at the completion of its restoration. It is offered with an extensive history file, restoration photos, its original restored hard top, original tools, jack, pouches, spare tire and wheel, and US sales and delivery papers.

This is one of the finest E-types available. It is also one of the most attractive. If you're looking for the ultimate E-type, you've found your car..
