1962 Cisitalia Abarth 850 Scorpione Coupe

This 1962 Cisitalia Abarth 850 Scorpione coupe is said to have undergone a multi-year refurbishment under previous ownership and was recently imported to the US from Argentina. Finished in dark blue over tan leather, the car is powered by a numbers-matching 850cc inline-four equipped with a Weber two-barrel carburetor and paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes front disc brakes, reproduction 13” Campagnolo wheels, and chrome front bumperettes and trim. The Cisitalia Abarth 850 Scorpione was an Argentinian-built version of the Fiat Abarth 850 Allemano, and this example is said to have undergone a refurbishment between 2016 and 2020, including a repaint of the aluminum bodywork in dark blue. Equipment includes Abarth and Cisitalia badging, headlight stone guards, and dual rear vents to aid in engine cooling, as well as chrome trim, bullet-style side-view mirrors, and front bumperettes. The 13” silver-painted reproduction Campagnolo wheels are mounted with 165/70 Dunlop SP Touring R1 tires that show 2019 date codes. Stopping power is provided by front discs with rear drums.The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan leather with matching door panels and carpets lined with rubber Fiat-branded floor mats. Lap belts are fitted for both occupants, and a full-size spare is affixed behind the seats with leather straps. A suite of Jaeger and Abarth-branded instrumentation includes an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 200-km/h speedometer, and a combination gauge with displays for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The 850cc inline-four features a single Weber two-barrel carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Engine block stamping number 085S0122 matches the number shown on the chassis plate.
