The stylish BMW 635CSi coupe was both sporty and luxurious. About the only thing it needed to compete with serious exotics, was more power, and BMW had a plan to fix that. The 24 valve, in-line six that BMW developed for their M1 Supercar was a perfect fit for the 635's chassis. The result was the BMW M6.

Just 1,767 lucky US clients got a 1988 M6. They were such good cars that most were well used and few were pampered. They went to school piled with kids, got trunks full of groceries, and went on every road trip the owner could make-up an excuse to take. High mileage M6s are the norm and a few war scars usually come with the package.

Our M6 is an exception. The 97,100 miles driven was divided between 3 owners. Each owner took meticulous care of the car. Over $30,000 has been spent on maintenance by the owners. A recent 22-hour comprehensive service included clutch replacement, valve adjustment, ignition service, and fuel lines replacement. The transmission mounts were also replaced as well as assorted hoses and bushings.

The paint and exterior are excellent. The front seats have been expertly recovered and the interior is surprisingly crisp. Mechanically the car is in top condition.

Fresh Michelin TRX tires are mounted on proper BBS wheels. The factory dust cloth can still be found in the trunk lid tool kit. The original first-aid kit and unused spare tire complete an as-delivered trunk. The self-leveling suspension is functioning correctly. Even the original service booklet with dealer stamps, manuals, accessory booklets are with the car. Of course, it comes with the original BMW radio with power antenna.
