1974 Alfa Romeo GTV
$62,500

A perfect driving GTV that will turn heads anywhere it goes
The Alfa Romeo GTV today is known as one of the most beautifully designed coupes ever produced. It is definitely in the top 10 to come out of Bertone. The Gran Tourismo Veloce was penned by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro in his very early days while at Bertone. The evolution of the car kept his initial design, which was a perfectly proportioned Sports Coupe. It was an immediate hit both on the street and the track. With a front engine/rear wheel drive lay-out attached to a well-placed rear axle, the GTV handles twists and turns with confidence.
The final version imported to the U.S. was the 2000. With a solid 5-speed transmission, this was a terrific performer that also had the added feature of comfortable rear seating. The Greenhouse cockpit has virtually no blind spots with such a narrow C pillar. Our example is adorned with the 4-leaf clover badge that designates that it is a Quadrifoglio. This was Alfa's way of saying your car has the lucky sporting cues.
Our car is a restored example that was correctly configured to the same standards as it left the factory with only one exception, the original Spica injection have been replaced with the much more reliable side draft Weber Carburetors. This is considered a welcomed upgrade as the tried-and-true Webers perform great and offer a much higher degree of reliability.
Behind the wheel you will immediately feel how tight the car is. From the moment you shut the door and turn the key, it feels like a new car. The engine, gearbox and brakes all feel perfectly in-synch with the road.
Trades are welcome and financing is available.
