1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II Saloon
This 1962 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II was built in the summer of 1961 and shipped to the United States as a 1962 model to J,. S,.Inskip Co. in New York City. The car was purchased by George Greene who later traded it in to the Peter Zage Rolls-Royce dealership in Montclair, N. J. for a Silver Cloud III coupe in 1965. With only 9,000 miles on it, the car was resold to respected member of AACA Robert Frielich. Robert Frielich later became The Rolls Royce Owner's Club president and kept this vehicle in his possession until August of 2012 at which time it was acquired by Motorcar Gallery, subsequently sold and then repurchased again a number of years later.
LSZD263 is one of 2,417 Standard Steel Salloon Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II cars built, more than half of which were right hand drive. The vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, power antenna, power brakes, power steering, power windows, Sun-Dym glass, split front seat, and tray tables. The car is presented in Masons Black over a well preserved tan interior and powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
Included with the sale of the vehicle are copies of the factory build sheets, chassis card, original owners manual, history book, complete original tool kit, service records plus a historical summary written by former president of the Rolls-Royce Owners' Club Robert Frielich, who owned and enjoyed the car for 47 years.
